I did a three month internship at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in 2008 and one of the highlights was working at the Peace Palace. As a memento of my internship, the PCA team gave me this coffee table book on the Palace. The book is a record of the Peace Palace as a site of international law development, but also as a physical museum of the numerous gifts of paintings, tapestries, sculpture, furniture and other ornaments on display (essentially international law souvenirs!). For me, the inscriptions at the front of the book provide a personal souvenir of my time at the PCA.
